Washington, D.C.: “The terrorist attack in India is causing frenzies in both the media and the intelligence communities. India will blame Pakistan because they are mortal enemies but, I personally doubt if the currently weak and fuzzy Pakistani government would be foolish enough to attack the much bigger and far better armed India. What is most likely, by all rational reportage from the self-same intelligence communities, is that the Taliban, created by the CIA and turned into a Frankenstein’s monster, is slowly taking over control of Pakistan and they ordered the “hit” on Mumbai. If they hoped for chaos in which they can grow further, they have it. And some random personal thoughts at this wonderful holiday season: I am neither an atheist or an agnostic. I simply do not care about the great seething masses that infest this globe and spend their worthless hours wailing, screeching, and struggling to find an identity in an existence that has neither meaning nor substance. The constant shouting in the first person, singular, bores me because these cries have been heard before, though not in such numbers, (see Malthus on this) but in the final analysis all indeed is "vanity and vexation of spirit." The burning issues of a hundred years ago are now nothing but the misinterpreted and badly reported efforts of pseudo-intellectuals pathetically attempting to pass themselves off on an uncaring society as historians and a hundred years from now, a greatly reduced population will be scribbling on the walls of abandoned buildings their own greatly limited visions. All of the so-called bloggers are filled with sound and fury, signifying absolutely nothing. And when at the hour of their deaths, those who believe in some fictional Heaven, realize in the nano second before the television set goes blank, that there is nothing more...ever, they will hear the sound of me: laughing. I do not harbor anger against the denizens of the national monkey house. I neither pity nor censure them; I just observe and am entertained by my observations. Dean Swift put it best: "I cannot but conclude that the bulk of your natives to be the most odious race of little pernicious vermin that nature ever suffered to crawl upon the surface of the earth." As in so many other matters, Swift was right on. Greed and fiscal mismanagement has driven the engine of our society for a long time now but they have all forgotten the maxim that what goes up fast, comes down faster. Happy Holidays, one and all!”
