Washington, D.C.: The idiots who frantically frequent Facebook and other social media do not realize that these sites are not designed to make people happy, but are designed to make some rich and others informed. The vast amount of personal information extracted from users is daily used by investigative agencies, and the same information is happily sold to commercial ventures to exploit unsuspecting users. Also, such sites can be a serious menace during political campaigns and for this reason, watch social media being taken under control by the government.
